> Tabacha is the princess of castle "Wood". Three days ago she disappeared from the castle.
> Ranulf is the King of the Wood surrounding the castle. He is desperately looking for his lost daughter Tabacha. He will grant 1000 gold coins to the hero who brings her back safely.
> The Black Knight is one of the most feared people in the land of Leigua. No one has ever beaten him. He is master of the sword and also an expert chess player. It is being told, that he once killed three Orks, while winning a game of chess against the mighty chess mage Saruroff.
Places:
> Castle Wood: A small castle surrounded by wood. It has four towers, a castlemoat and a deep dungeon under the basement. Because King Ranulf was afraid that his daughter might be kidnapped, the whole castle is full of traps, walls, guards and crocodiles in the castlemoat. But actually this didn't help preventing the disappearing of the princess.
> Gatewhale: A small village some distance away from the castle, but still in the big wood. The village has a very big gate and a lake next to the marketplace. The people of Gatewhale are friendly and if a stranger finds his way through the wood they will likely invite him or her to a beer and a bowl of barksoup to get the latest news from the world outside of the wood.
> Snilokliff: Probably the largest town in Leigua. The metropolitan style of life is very expensive, at least in the rich quarters of Snilokliff. After the big breakdown of the flour market, many a noble man had to move into the stinking slum in the rivercoast area of town. The remaining high society is now discussing the building of a wall between the slum and the rest of the town. Townmayor Roundy just had another very refined idea: "I would just burn the whole slum down."
Points of the Compass:
The land of Leigua has five main points of the compass: Gnu, Kny, Ulp, Pof and Bim. Navigating in the country is quite easy, if you know the speed with which these points rotate. E.g. if you are located in castle wood and it is an early spring morning after you had a hot cup of coffee with milk, but without sugar, the village Gatewhale lies in the direction of Ulpkny.
Here you can see a map of Leigua, as it was drawn by the mad and drunken bard Lyra after she was send away from the Healing Houses in Snilokliff. "This girl is beyond our help!", said Lehrer the master of herbs, when he had spent almost a quarter of an hour swinging a small rubber hammer against her left knee.
For a big cup of wine I could get some hints from the bard Lyra, at what all the scribling was about: "Hicks!", she said, "ahhh. On the very top of da map you can see da big ocean, very big, very wet. Underneath it ... gobble, hihi ... you can see da wood - with da Castle Wood, you know? - and on its right hand side da village of Gatewhale. Then a little lower at da right side of de cute map there is some mountains, not so big as here down on the bottom, but, yes ... looork ... and here on the bottom left is Sliknofisnilkofli- Schnielokiff - ahh, you know what I mean! In da middle de yellow stuff is sand. Desert, hot, very hot! Ahh, and next to this lake on the left its Boktor, nice town. Uh, my wine is empty!" Then she fell under the table.
